It has been several days since Times of Malta revealed that sitting judge Lawrence (Wenzu) Mintoff wrote a letter criticising Prime Minister Robert Abela and circulated it to cabinet ministers.
The five-page sworn declaration has since been raised in parliament, sparked two standards investigations, caused unease within the judiciary and led to calls for resignations.
