There have been 53 agreed marriage separation cases so far this year and 160 applications for separation were filed in court, Justice Minister Tonio Borg said in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday. There were 528 agreed separations next year, when 198 court cases were also filed.

The information was requested by Labour MP Jose Herrera.
