Marsa FC have written a letter of complaint to the Malta Football Association over the control of referee Joe Attard in their last Premier League match against Hibernians which ended two-all.

In the letter, a copy of which was received by The Times yesterday, club secretary Jason Cini calls on the MFA to prevent Attard from officiating matches involving Marsa "in the light of a series of controversial and unjust decisions made by the said referee during games played by our club."

According to the Marsa secretary, Nigerian Minabo Asechemie was sent off during last Sunday's league match against Hibs for a petty foul.
