Marsa vs Mosta (tomorrow at 12.45 p.m., Hamrun Ground) - Marsa desperately need the points from this relegation six-pointer if they are to boost their hopes of maintaining their status.

Speculation that their players were prepared to go on strike due to unpaid wages ahead of this crucial match against Mosta, were vehemently rejected yesterday.

The committee and the players issued two separate statements to strongly refute TV reports which claimed that their players were considering a strike action.

Mosta will seek to maintain their recent upsurge that yielded four points after they beat Floriana and drew against Valletta.

Striker Paul Zammit is doubtful and defender Mario Abela is still injured but otherwise coach Vince Carbonaro can bank on a full complement.

Hamrun vs Marsaxlokk (tomorrow at 2.45 p.m., Hamrun Ground) - Hamrun gave the members of the former committee the perfect farewell in the shape of a 2-0 victory over Floriana. Now that new officials have assumed the leadership of the club, Hamrun players will be expected to show the same commitment and spirit to give the new set-up a perfect start.

Well, Atanas Marinov's side showed that they can still deliver the goods even in the most difficult of circumstances. For this game, Marinov will have to make do without Jonathan Magri Overend, David Galea and Cesar Paiber.

Marsaxlokk, on a high after two victories in their last two outings - they beat Hibernians 2-1 in the league and had the better of Senglea 2-0 in the FA Trophy - are at full strength and welcome back coach J.J. Aquilina who was away from the islands when they played in the cup competition.
