A new breakwater at Marsaxlokk is fast taking shape.

The project is being handled by Infrastructure Malta. It said the 110-metre breakwater at Qrejten will protect Marsaxlokk Bay and its fishing community from  strong southerly seas.

70 metres of the undersea structure has been completed.

The project will be completed by the end of the year.
