Division One champions and Premiership newcomers Marsaxlokk have expressed an interest in three Valletta players. Sources told The Times that Marsaxlokk have written to Valletta to declare their interest in Malta skipper David Carabott, currently recovering from injury, Edward Azzopardi and Clive Mizzi.

Mizzi was instrumental in Marsaxlokk's push for promotion to the Premier during his one-year loan spell and the southerners are now looking to make his move permanent.

Carabott also has very close ties with Marsaxlokk, having played for them as a teenager before he was snapped up by Hibernians.
