Hiberians moved to the top of the Malta Premier League this afternoon when they beat Sliema Wanderers 1-0.

The precious goal was scored by Terence Scerri just 10 minutes into the game.

The Paolites are on 31 points but Valletta, five points behind, have two games in hand.

In today's first game, Marsaxlokk got the better of Floriana, coming from a goal down to beat them 2-1.

Ryan Darman opened the scoring for Floriana in the sixth minute, but Marcelo Pereiri equalised 10 minutes before the break and Kevin Sammut scored the winner on the 49th minuute.
