Masquerade’s Christmas Panto Ali Baba opens at Teatru Manoel

The festive season at Teatru Manoel is once again set to sparkle with Masquerade’s much-loved annual pantomime, and this year audiences are in for a treat with the hilarious and heart-warming Ali Baba.

Written by award-winning playwright Malcolm Galea and directed by anthony bezzina, this year’s production promises a vibrant blend of comedy, colour, and Christmas cheer. With musical direction by Kris Spiteri, choreography by Valerie Burke, costumes by Simona Mamo and imaginative set and props design by Matthew Cassar, the creative team has crafted a magical theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.

Ali Baba follows the unlikely hero as he stumbles into an adventure filled with daring escapades, mischievous mayhem, and a band of thieves who are more bumbling than fearsome. Expect unforgettable characters, spectacular musical numbers, and Masquerade’s signature blend of witty humour and festive fun. From outrageous villains and brave heroes to unexpected surprises (plus the occasional ballotra!), this year’s panto is bursting with joy and laughter from beginning to end.
