The Education Ministry said that Matsec exam resits would continue to be held in September and there was no intention to move the dates. The exams timetable can be seen on http://www.home.um.edu.mt/matsec/

The ministry said that contrary to what was being claimed by the MLP, the government never proposed to move the resits to October or November. That proposal had been made three years ago by a panel of independent experts but had been rejected by the government because it felt that students should be able to start their courses in October once they had the necessary qualifications.
