The new Mazda3 was launched recently at Café Jiuliani, Spinola Bay, St Julian's. With two models on display, a five-door hatchback and a four-door sedan, Mazda claim that with this model they have got the chemistry right.
Introduced to the motoring press by Gasan Enterprises marketing manager Ivan Grech and marketing executive Etienne Mallia, the Mazda3 five-door comes in three petrol engines (1.4S 84bhp; 1.4TS 84bhp; and 1.6TS 105 bhp) and two diesels (1.6S MZR-CD 109 bhp; and 1.6TS MZR-CD 109 bhp).
Standard features for the S versions include air conditioning, ABS with EBD, front and side airbags and radio cassette, among many others. The TS versions also come with alloy wheels, curtain airbags, CD player and steering wheel mounted radio control. Prizes range from Lm7,990 for the 1.4S up to Lm10,600 for the 1.6TS diesel.
The four-door version comes with two engines - 1.6TS 105 bhp (Lm9,400) and the 1.6TS MZR-CD 109bhp (Lm10,700) with standard features including air conditioning, ABS with EBD, power steering, front and side airbags, CD player, alloy wheels, power mirrors and many more.
