The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology has launched its new Student Handbook 2003-2004. This handbook gives students useful information on the college, the services and facilities it offers and also aims at helping the students familiarise themselves with the college environment.
The Student Handbook will be distributed to all new MCAST students during Induction Week. It contains information on the services offered by the Information and Support Services including the Information Centre, the Guidance and Counselling Unit, the Basic Skills Unit and the Inclusive Education Unit.
The handbook also includes important information on the Students' Council, the Equal Opportunities policy, the Code of Conduct, the Students Disciplinary Procedure, the Illegal Substances Procedures and the Appeals Procedure.
Information on selfpresentation, punctuality and attendance, absent lecturers, notification of absence in cases of sickness are also presented.
Students will also find sections on the MCAST Student Card, the maintenance grants and the college newsletter, MCASTlink as well as the new services offered by the college, namely the Library Learning Resource Centre, and the MCAST-EUPU International Office.
