Mdina was not so silent this morning as it returned to its mediaeval past in a festival organised by the local council.

The festival, being held for the fourth consecutive year, started on Friday and comes to an end today.

Visitors are enjoying re-enactments, mediaeval music and a falconry display among other attractions. Mediaeval food and drink  is being served and entrance fees to museums and other attractions in Mdina have been reduced.
