More than 500 bookings were made for Euromed Cruises as people took advantage of the special discounts that were available at Air Malta`s AMITEX travel fair last week, Euromed Cruises general manager Iain Tonna said.

"The response from the public has shown that last year`s success was not a one-off and that many Maltese are keen to have the opportunity of enjoying a short affordable Mediterranean cruise," he said.

Euromed Cruises will be operating the cruise ship Sapphire out of Malta between May 24 and October 27. A selection of cruises taking between two and four days and visiting Sicily, Naples, Tunis and Rome are available at prices starting from Lm46.
