The Medical Council said it has started investigating a number of doctors and dentists who had taken part in TVM's programme Arani Issa which is aired on Monday evenings.

The council said the investigation is being held because Arani Issa is a "commercial and sensational" programme and the participation of doctors/dentists in it allegedly breached professional ethics.
