Megabyte Limited, Malta's foremost systems integrator, together with HP and Microsoft, is organising a showcase event under the theme "Integrate, Consolidate and Manage the Enterprise of the Future".

The event, being held on Friday at the Malta Hilton, St Julian's, will focus on the competitive benefits for Maltese companies of the combined strengths of Megabyte when delivering solutions using products from HP and Microsoft, reinforced by these two companies' Frontline Partnership.

The HP/Microsoft partnership is a 20-year strategic alliance to provide customers with world class platforms and solutions, management and support of Windows-based environments through joint engineering and product development.

Several other themes will be tackled during the conference. Apart from taking a critical look at RoI (return on investment) from existing and future IT assets, best practice to achieve the much-sought-after competitive advantage, consolidation of IT assets, including the optimisation of storage, system integration and enterprise management software for true eBusiness integration will also be showcased by local and foreign speakers.

A case study of how Megabyte used the abilities of its staff to integrate the products of HP and Microsoft will also be presented.

Speakers at the conference include:

¤ Elias Tabet, Enterprise and Partners Group manager, Microsoft Eastern Mediterranean;

¤ Hinrich Westerkamp, director HP/Microsoft Frontline Partnership with Hewlett-Packard Europe, Middle East & Africa;

¤ Alberto Caprara, sales manager for Public Sector and Financial Services, HP European Emerging Markets; and

¤ Patrick Diaz, Network Storage Solution Specialist with HP European Emerging Markets.

A number of Megabyte's technology experts will also give presentations.

The event will be opened by a keynote address from IT & Investments Minister Austin Gatt.

The morning sessions of the conference are aimed at managing directors, CEOs and general managers, while the afternoon sessions are intended for chief technical officers, information management officers and IT managers.
