Ghajnsielem FC's Brian Meilak was recently named as the Gozo FA player of the year for season 2003-04.

Meilak had an outstanding season both for his club and Gozo FC in the MFA Division Two league. He was the winner of the Easyline Player of the Year award in January.

Ghajnsielem also had Kalenga Indaji in the association's honours list for the past season. Indaji was voted the best foreign player.

Other awards went to: John Camilleri (Xaghra) - Best Division Two player; Chris Sciortino (SK Victoria) - Best U-21 player; John Camilleri (Xaghra) - top performer for Gozo FC; Charles Hili (Nadur) - most promising player Division One; and Matthew Francalanza (St Lawrence) - most promising player Division Two.

John Eboh, of Zebbug Rovers, and Kercem's Dragomir Draganov were the joint top-scorers in Division One and John Camilleri the best scorer in Division Two for Xaghra.

Awards were distributed during a presentations ceremony at the GFA offices.
