F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has warned the organisers of the Australian GP that they either hold a night race next March, or the current contract will not be extended once it expires in 2010.
Ecclestone wants the race during the night to raise TV viewership in Europe. Last week he announced that a deal had been struck for Singapore to hold a race at night.
The Adelaide newspaper Sunday Mail said Ecclestone wants the race to be held under floodlights after 9pm at Albert Park.
"Unless they (the organisers) can come up with something that's going to satisfy us I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be able to continue there," he said.
