Melita will almost double the TV line-up to 150 channels this year, triple the amount of channels currently offered by other local pay TV operators, the company said.
Melita has launched nine new TV channels, including Investigation Discovery, Food Network, Wedding TV, Luxe TV, Body in Balance TV, Jim Jam, NatGeo Music, Channel One Russia and Film 24.
New channels set for launch include Jimmy, Lei, Leonardo, I-Concerts, Alice and Nuvolari. Customers on Melita's M package will enjoy a choice of 35 local and international channels for the same price they are currently paying of just €7.76 per month.
Melita's L package is also set to offer more variety with an upgraded channel line-up of 80 channels for €19.99 a month. High definition and advanced digital TV services are also in the pipeline this year, to provide customers with a personalised TV experience and video on demand. The new set-top box will allow customers to be able to record, pause and rewind live TV at will and make use of a completely newly designed electronic programme guide.
Customers on Melita's Analogue TV package can benefit from these TV upgrades as well as great one-time offers when they switch to Melita's Digital TV serivce today.
Throughout this month, all Melita Digital TV customers are able to enjoy Wedding TV, Food Network, Luxe TV and Body in Balance TV at no extra cost. From March 1, these new channels will be available in the respective tiers: Wedding TV and Luxe TV (L and XL packages), and Food Network and Body in Balance TV (XL).
