The heavy rains that fell on the island forced the Malta FA to postpone the MIA Division One programmes scheduled this weekend at the Hibs Ground yesterday and the Tedesco Stadium today.

Yesterday, St Patrick were due to meet Rabat in the first match followed by the San Gwann vs Mosta encounter. However, the ground management at the Hibs Stadium ruled that the pitch was waterlogged and subsequently the matches were called off.

Last night, it was also announced that the pitch at Hamrun was also unfit and so today's matches between Mqabba and Tarxien and Senglea vs Naxxar have also been postponed.

No final decision has yet been taken when these matches will be played.
