Migrants were allegedly charged €100 each for fake driving licences produced by a Sudanese man at Marsa Open Centre, a court was told today.
The evidence was given as proceedings continued against Mohammed Kamal Qalil, who stands accused of money laundering and producing fake local and foreign public documents.
He is pleading not guilty.
He is alleged to have operated from the Marsa open centre, selling more than 100 passports over a four-year period.
Witnesses told the court today how they paid €100 for fake licences.
Police Inspectors Sergio Pisani and Pierguido Saliba prosecuted.
