Milan Club Malta 1979 - 30th anniversary

Today is a very special day for all Milan Club Malta 1979 members as we mark our 30th anniversary.

The first general meeting was held at the La Vallette Band Club in Valletta on the official founding date of the supporters club, January 28, 1979. More than 90 members were present on that occasion and a committee was formed.

Our first premises was situated in St Luċija Street, Valletta. This building was officially inaugurated by former AC Milan president Giuseppe Farina. Also present was Italy stalwart and club captain Gianni Rivera.

In the early 1990s, the club moved to Ħamrun, then Mrieħel and finally settled at its current base in Qormi.

During these years Milan Club Malta, an official member of the Associazione Italiana Milan Clubs, established itself as the Milan supporters club with the largest number of registered members in the world.

During AC Milan's winter training camp in January 2007, team manager Silvano Ramaccioni visited the club.

He told those present he was impressed with the surroundings and added that the facilities were good enough to host AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi himself.

The committee of Milan Club Malta 1979 would like to take this opportunity to thank all club members and past committee officials for their initiative in keeping this organisation alive.

We urge the numerous Milan supporters in Malta and Gozo to visit the club for live transmission of matches and other activities. Club members may also avail themselves from the benefits and access to match tickets and tours along the season.
