With the Road Running League organised by the Malta Amateur Athletics Association having started off last month, now it is time for budding athletes to show their talent in the so-called miniathlon series.

The miniathlons are a non-competitive event intended to introduce beginners to running, jumping or throwing.

During the series, children will perform four different events - a 60-metre sprint alternating with a 50-metre hurdles race, a 300m obstacle race, a jump and a throw.

Registration starts half an hour before the event. The first miniathlon of the series is today at 2 p.m. The others are on Dec. 17, Feb. 4 and March 18.
