In response to John A. Mizzi's letter (June 30) Maltapost would like to point out that the Elton John miniature sheet (above) is a philatelic item and was approved by the Stamp Design Advisory Board, as is every stamp Maltapost produces.

Maltapost has had numerous inquiries both here and abroad about the issue and indications are that the Elton John miniature sheet is shaping up to be one of the most successful issues ever to be sought after by both collectors and Elton John fans.

The miniature sheet was issued yesterday. The vibrancy and quality of the production is excellent and all those who buy this miniature sheet will not be disappointed.
