Educatioin Minister Dolores Cristina recently attended the Learning and Technology World Forum in London at the invitation of the UK government. The annual event is one of the largest gatherings of education and skills ministers in the world.
The forum serves as a platform for leaders to share ideas and experiences on strategy and policy, and debate ways that technology can be used to support and improve the accessibility and quality of education and skills globally.
In this year's edition, whose the main theme 'Re-imagining education', participants were encouraged to think about the impact of change in the world, and think about how to 're-imagine education' using technology to transform learning.
Speakers at this year's forum included the UK Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills Peter Mandelson, and the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families Ed Balls.
Ms Cristina commented: "It was a pleasure to be present at such a forum and share the strategic direction taken by the government as well as give examples of good practice taking place in our e-learning strategy in education and other initiatives at higher and further education."
