I intend to put up a photo exhibition of old photos that show the destruction of St James Square, Żabbar (il-Misraħ) in the local council hall .
The square was surrounded by homes and shops. On one side, a statue of St James stood on some burial ground. The statue is still at our Sanctuary Museum. Unfortunately, there are few photos around and thanks to John Mizzi of Malta at War, I have a start.
I’m calling on the Żabbarin to search old boxes and let me have copies or we could make the copies and return the originals, possibly by hand. Any help given would be appreciated. I may be contacted on 2182 7948.
