Bay Street Hotel recently sponsored the XVI Concorso Internazionale Miss Mare held earlier this month at Città di Mazara Del Vallo in Sicily. The beauty contest saw the participation of 31 girls from all over the world, including two girls from Malta and another from Gozo.

The Bay Street Hotel's sponsorship consisted of prizes to the seven winners of the Miss Mare International, which included a holiday package at the Bay Street Tourist Complex. The contest was also televised by various Italian TV stations including Rete Quattro, where it is expected to be broadcast in the near future.

Talks are also currently in hand with the organisers to host Miss Mare International 2003 at the Bay Street Hotel Complex.
