The police are investigating the discovery in Gozo of a group of German women and their children who were reported missing in Germany.

The investigations were sparked yesterday when a young German boy was found walking in a field in Marsalforn.

The boy said he was living in an apartment in Marsalforn with other people.

Informed sources said three women and their five children, reported missing in Germany, were found living in the flat with a married couple. The couple said they were providing shelter for battered women.

Investigations are continuing. The German police and Appogg agency are involved.
