A delivery man who was reported missing yesterday was taken to court by the police today and admitted misappropriation, drug possession and relapsing.

Brandon Cachia, 27 of Vittoriosa, who was found yesterday afternoon, admitted to misappropriating stock, mostly cleaning items belonging to Sparkle Image, which he was meant to be delivering. He also admitted possession of cocaine.

Police Inspector Robert Said Sareo said this was a moment of madness which stemmed from Mr Cachia's drug addiction. He definitely needed help.

Defence counsel Noel Bartolo asked the court to order a pre-sentencing report.

Mr Cachia was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €1,000. Magistrate Charmaine Galea warned him of the consequences of breaching bail.
