The Malta Labour Party yesterday called for the intervention of the Broadcasting Authority to ensure that a remedy the party had been granted would apply solely to it and no one else.

The remedy took the form of an interview with party leader Alfred Sant, scheduled for 8 p.m. yesterday, to counter a news service broadcast on PBS on Tuesday.

However, the MLP said it had been informed that PBS was also planning to broadcast an interview with the prime minister and the chairman of Alternattiva Demokratika.

This was unacceptable, the MLP said, as neither the prime minister nor the AD chairman had objected or sought any remedy.
