Malta-based MOAS has started tracking boats carrying Rohingyas fleeing Myanmar in a bid to stop loss of lives.
The Migrant Offshore Aid Station launched a mission in the region to look for Rohingya or Bangladeshis migrants who are in distress at sea.
It will use drones and other means to search for boats, then offer food, lifejackets, or medical assistance to those who need it.
Charity founder Christopher Catrambone said:
"I assure you, if we have the opportunity to mitigate loss of life - one life folks, that's all we're saying, one life - i f we can save one life, this entire mission is worth it."
