The Association of Model Engineers is holding its Annual Model Exhibition at the Scouts headquarters in Floriana until next Sunday.

Members of the association have been working on a number of new models and projects, some of which are still in progress.

Various models covering all the 13 sections – aircraft, armoured fighting vehicles, cars, crafts, dioramas, engineering, figures, marine, science fiction, space, trains and war gaming – will be on display.

Members of AME will be present to explain and answer questions about their models. Visitors can also observe the progress on the working railway layout by the trains section.

Also on display is the model railway layout featuring Il-Vapur Tal-Art – The Malta Railway.

The engineering section is exhibiting a number of steam working models. The aircraft section is displaying several new aircraft models.

More information about AME can be found on www.a-m-e.org and on the Facebook page ‘Association of Model Engineers’.

Set up in 1983, AME is a non-profit, non-ideological association of people who have a special interest in model engineering and scale modelling.

Entrance to the exhibition, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., is free.
