The Water Services Corporation and Enemalta Corporation have every right to take steps to recover moneys due as is normal in similar circumstances whenever money is due to anyone.

In this case, the charging of interest on overdue bills, the suspension of services and the subsequent charges for reconnection are all covered by article 34 of the Water Supply Regulations, 1948 and article 73 of the Electricity Supply Regulations and Rules, 1939.
