The Nationalist government led by Lawrence Gonzi has overspent Lm191 million on various projects.
Now the Nationalists have the cheek to ask from where Labour will get the money for its proposed social measures once elected to government, i.e. no income tax to be paid on overtime, State subsidising of the buying of one's first residence, the reduction of the water and electricity surcharge by half, and the restitution of vacation leave for national/public holidays which fall on Saturdays and Sundays.
These measures will cost a fraction of the sum overspent by the Nationalists.
Joseph Scicluna (December 3) is forced to acknowledge that such facts prove that the PN government is a sick joke.
