The Helping Hands Foundation presented a cheque for Lm15,000 to the Ghana Mission Foundation.

The money will go towards the building of the Ghana Health Centre in Kumasi - a project chosen by Pope Paul John II for the New Millennium.

Nadia Cappello, of the Helping Hands Foundation, who presented the donation, said the money was collected during a fund-raising activity this summer.

The health centre is a project of the ICPE (International Catholic Programme of Evangelisation) and it is one of the 100 projects chosen by Pope John Paul II to mark the New Millennium.

The Ghana foundation is preparing a fund-raising campaign to be held next February and March.

One can send a donation by cheque or money order addressed to the Ghana Mission Foundation c/o Media Centre, National Road, Blata l-Bajda, or deposit the donation directly in one of these accounts at Bank of Valletta - 11206046019 or HSBC - 033-143819-050.
