British and Irish Lions loose forward Lewis Moody has been withdrawn from the replacements for today's match against Wellington after sustaining a knee injury in training.

His place on the bench has been taken by Richard Hill. The squad has already lost lock Malcolm O'Kelly (groin) and loose forwards Lawrence Dallaglio (ankle) and Simon Taylor (hamstring) to injuries since arriving in New Zealand.

England full-back Iain Balshaw withdrew before the squad left Britain.

Former All Blacks winger Jonah Lomu, who has just returned to action after a kidney transplant, was named yesterday in the North Harbour squad to play Samoa next week. Lomu made his competitive return to rugby after a two-year-absence in former England captain Martin Johnson's testimonial match in London earlier this month. The 30-year-old scored a try in the match but had to go off at half-time with a shoulder injury.
