Italy's coast guard said yesterday it had found the bodies of six more people who drowned when a boat carrying 200 illegal immigrants ran aground off Sicily last week, bringing the total death toll so far to 20.

Nine bodies were recovered on November 18 near the town of Scicli di Pozzallo, in southeast Sicily, and survivors of the wreck said they thought about 20 people were missing.

Eleven more bodies have been found this week.
