Eight Maltese nationals have just qualified as cabin crew with the British Airways franchise GB Airways.

The initial training course held at the GB Airways head office lasted five weeks and covered safety, security, aviation medicine and customer service.

The new recruits will now work as cabin crew on the Airbus fleet flying to any of the 30 British Airways destinations served by GB Airways from London including Malta.

This is the second batch of Maltese cabin crew to join GB Airways. The first five Maltese nationals were recruited earlier this month.

A recruitment drive was held here last October when over 100 applicants were screened.

GB Airways welcomes applications from EU citizens who can work legally in the UK.
