A 67-year-old motorcyclist from Paola was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Fgura.

The police said the accident happened in Triq Hompesch at 11am.

The man was riding a Peugeot Sumup that was involved in a collision with a VW Passat that was being driven by a 41-year-old man from Fgura.

A medical team gave the motorcyclist first aid on site before he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

The police are investigating.
