Motorcyclist hurt in St Paul's Bay collision

47-year-old grievously injured in Friday evening crash with Toyota Corolla

A motorcyclist was grievously injured in a crash in St Paul’s Bay on Friday evening.

Police said the crash happened in Triq il-Qawra at around 7pm.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a Toyota Corolla driven by a 23-year-old man from Mqabba was involved in a collision with a KTM motorcycle ridden by a 47-year-old Italian man who lives in St Paul’s Bay.

A medical team was called to the scene and the motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

He was later certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
