A 55-year-old motorcyclist from Fgura is in critical condition following a crash with a car in Triq Ghajn Tuffieh, Mgarr, this morning.

The police said the accident happened at around 8.15am when the bike and the car, which were headed in opposite directions, crashed. The car was being driven by a 43-year-old man from Zebbug. He was not injured.

The road is closed to traffic.

An inquiry is being held.
