Two motorcyclists were injured in separate accidents early on Wednesday morning, possibly a result of slippery roads after heavy dew.

The police said a 50-year-old man, resident in Marsa, fell off his motorcycle after losing control in St Joseph High Road, Hamrun. The alarm was raised at about 6.15am by a policeman on patrol.

His condition was described as serious. 

Shortly after, at 7am, a 45-year-old man from Gudja also fell off his motorcycle in Triq Ħal Tarxien, Gudja. He had also lost control of his Yamaha.
