A motorcyclist was grievously injured in a traffic accident in St Julian's.

The police said the accident happened in Triq Ċensu Tabone on Friday at 9.30pm.

The rider, a 29-year-old Indian man who lives in St Paul's Bay, lost control of his motorbike, which overturned.

He was given first aid by a medical team on site and was then taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

The police are investigating.
