A 90-year-old motorist was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Gudja on Tuesday morning.

The police said the crash, in Triq Ħal Tarxien, involved a Nissan March driven by the 90-year-old from Santa Luċija and a Toyota Corolla driven by a 21-year-old man from Swieqi.

The accident happened at 9.10am.

A magisterial inquiry is underway.
