Motorist rescued as car crashes, bursts into flames

The accident happened on Tal-Barrani Road, Tarxien

Quick-thinking motorists rescued the driver of a car as it caught fire following a crash at Tal-Barrani road, Tarxien, on Saturday night.

The 30-year-old Birżebbuġa resident was seriously injured after his Toyota Auris crashed into a tree and burst into flames.

The blaze was put out by firefighters of the Civil Protection Department.  

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
