A special commemoration is being held in honour of Joe A. Grima who, together with others, founded the Maltese literary movement Moviment Qawmien Letterarju in the 1960s. Mr Grima passed away on November 1 last year.

Archbishop Paul Cremona will preside over this activity, which will take place at Żebbuġ band club on Sunday at 7 p.m. Several writings by Mr Grima will be read. Frans Sammut will deliver the keynote speech and the St Philip band will play selected music excerpts in between. There will also be on display copies of the literary magazine Il-Polz, published in the past by the movement, photographs and other items connected with the work and life of Mr Grima.

Those attending are requested to be seated by 6.50 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
