Msida subway blocked by fallen stones after car crashes into wall

A car crashed into the subway's wall on Wednesday morning

The entrance to the underpass at Msida's roundabout has been cordoned off after stones collapsed onto the path when a car skidded on the wet road and crashed into the wall.

Police told Times of Malta that at 8am on New Year's Eve, a driver on Triq Dun Karm lost control of their vehicle while approaching the roundabout and crashed into the wall of the underpass pathway.

No injuries were reported.

Two days after the accident, on Friday, the path was blocked off with red barricades and police tape.

A pile of stone bricks that collapsed from the wall were still at the entrance to the pathway. Access to the underpass is not completely blocked, as the other entrances remain accessible.

Questions have been sent to Transport Malta and Infrastructure Malta, asking when repairs will take place.
