Alex Incorvaja has been appointed director for the UK and Ireland by the Malta Tourism Authority. Now based at the Malta Tourist Office in London, Mr Incorvaja, 35, will be responsible for co-ordinating the MTA's marketing and promotional efforts in Malta's foremost tourism source market.
He has extensive experience in the hospitality sector, particularly in marketing, public relations and sales. Until his new appointment, he was director of sales and marketing at the Intercontinental Malta.
He previously held various sales manager positions within the Starwood Hotels and Resorts group in Malta and Rome.
He also served as an executive at the marketing directorate at the MTA's predecessor organisation, the National Tourism Organisation (NTOM).
Mr Incorvaja was a council member of the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association (MHRA) for several years.
