MTA training programmes

The Malta Tourism Authority is to organise an intensive development programme aimed at owners and managers within the tourism industry, targeting mainly small and medium tourism establishments.

The principal aim of the seminars and workshops which make up the professional development programme is to promote the benefits of training and development and to support the implementation of good people management practices within the tourism sector.

The programmes, which will be facilitated by foreign and local speakers, will be organised in a flexible way to encourage participation while keeping business disruption to a minimum.

The training programmes will take place as follows:

Leadership for Results: seminar for owner-managers and senior managers of tourism establishments on the May 15;

Managing People in Tourism: seminar for owner-managers and senior managers of tourism establishments on May 16;

Managing People in Tourism: workshop for middle management, heads of department and senior supervisors on May 20, 21 and 22;

Leadership for Results: workshop for middle management, heads of department and senior supervisors on the May 27, 28 and 30;

Improving Marketing, Sales and Promotional Skills: workshop on June 9, 12 and 13;

Managing Training: workshops on June 16, 17 and 18.
