MUBE in EU project

The Malta Union of Bank Employees has been invited to take part in a European Union project on the evaluation of international experience on social dialogue in respect of changes in the banking sector.

The project was submitted within the framework of programmes and actions in the social employment sectors and has been accepted by the European Commission`s Employment and Social Affairs Directorate.

The MUBE said the multiphase project started earlier this year and involved, among other things, documenting practices of social dialogue in the banking sector and the carrying out of scientific analysis of empirical research.

The union will be setting up a research unit through which it hopes to coordinate activities with other local and international institutions.
