Nadur school's Comenius project

Nadur Primary School is participating in the second Comenius project entitled "Roots and wings", in collaboration with five other schools from England, Finland, Denmark, France and Italy. The project is intended to give students the opportunity to learn more about their own culture and to share it with others using ICT technology.

A preparatory visit was hosted by the Istituto Comprensivo G. Montezemolo of Rome, the Italian school participating in the project. Teachers representing the partner schools introduced themselves and exchanged a Friendship Box containing gifts, particulars and information on their respective schools, communities and countries. They also toured the school and visited school classes.

The second day opened with a guided tour of the Roman Forum and another project meeting in the afternoon, when several suggestions were discussed and future visits were planned. The director of the co-ordinating school delegated roles and responsibilities to all the partner schools for the next two years. A farewell dinner was then held at a typical Roman restaurant.
